The Corona Challenge Event belongs to our project “Craft your Future” and is also a part of the “City Deal Kennismaken”.
Because of Corona, many students did not have many projects to work on. Therefore, Learning Hub Friesland, together with other local businesses, organized and hosted an event called “CoronaChallengeEvent” on October 9th, 2020! During the event, both Dutch and international students from different studies (MBO, HBO) teamed-up together, they then received the problems that were caused by the Covid-19 situation from three local businesses, and their mission was to try to come up with creative and extraordinary solutions to help the businesses.
Our partners this time were: Natuurmuseum Fryslân , Prinsentuin, and De wereld van thee. They are all located in Leeuwarden city.
The event has received lots of support and excitement from the participants, especially the students and teachers from NHLStenden – which makes us really happy! We are thinking of organizing an event similar like this in the near future, and hopefully, not Corona related.
