Exploring sustainability & critical thinking with P4C

We’re excited to be part of an Erasmus+ initiative that merges sustainability education with innovative teaching practices. The project, Interdisciplinary Sustainable Environmental Education with Philosophy for Children (P4C), empowers young minds to tackle real-world challenges through critical thinking and creative collaboration.

Why this matters

Sustainability is a pressing global priority, and education is the key to long-lasting change. This project equips students aged 10-14 with the tools to imagine and contribute to a better world. Through the P4C method, students explore essential skills such as creative and critical thinking, collaboration and communication, environmental literacy, and empathy and global citizenship.

What we’re achieving

Together with our partners, we’re developing:

  1. Interdisciplinary lesson plans that link social sciences, arts, and STEM to sustainability.
  2. A comprehensive e-learning module for teachers, including P4C training and story writing.
  3. Engaging digital P4C stories that bring sustainability topics to life.
  4. An online case pool with application videos to inspire educators and students.
  5. Outdoor activities to connect with nature.
  6. A thought-provoking podcast series exploring sustainable education.
