Cook it Forward support vocational school students in hospitality and cooking to propose innovative ways to lift the old cooking techniques, traditional recipes and forgotten vegetables to 21st century demand.

Cook it Forward enables students to work on real-life assignments in the class room, online and on location. Bringing teachers and moreover students closer to local producers.

Students will realize what the challenges of this cultural heritage are (e.g. the lack of interest tourists have in traditional dishes or the fact that young people are not interested the dishes) and will discover trends.

Our project features 3 international learning weeks in Ireland, Lithuania and the Netherlands for students to take part in to brainstorm in international groups of students about innovative ways to lift the old recipes and cooking techniques and propose their new inventions to regional restaurants, shops and other stakeholders.

Cook it Forward will in the end deliver interactive student learning materials and a supportive teacher curriculum & training for other schools to implement the programme as well.

Learning Hub Friesland will support the partners with project management, international learning week organisation and course material development.
